My journey

Born in Vevey and holding both German and Swiss nationality, I grew up bilingual German-French, navigating between French-speaking Switzerland and Germany due to my father's professional activities. An extended stay in London also allowed me to gain a perfect command of English. Passionate about languages and the discovery of other cultures and countries, I have had the opportunity to travel frequently, both privately and professionally, particularly in my role as Head of the Consulting division at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), where I had the chance to manage training assignments in various countries around the world.

I started my family and built my professional career in our beautiful region of the Vaud Riviera. For over 15 years, I have been a language trainer/coach specializing in the teaching of German and French for corporate executives and their spouses, as well as for students in public and private schools, apprenticeships and universities.

Holding a diploma in hotel management, and a few years later, a Degree in Educational Sciences and a DAS specializing in Adult Education from Geneva University, I have gained solid experience in designing training projects at both national and international levels.

Currently, I am Educational and Quality Manager for the Business Unit Economy at Miduca (Migros Group). I have also taught French and German to expatriates at Nestlé for many years and held various leadership roles in training, development, and coaching at Lausanne Hotel School, Glion Institute of Higher Education, Idheap, and Collège d'Epalinges.

« Learning a language means opening up and broadening your vision of the world."

Testimonials

Coming from Thailand, I didn’t have the basic understanding of French that many Europeans have, so Ronny and I had to start from zero. She was patient and understanding, helping me to build my vocabulary and working hard with me on pronunciation. She would adapt according to my needs, sometimes going faster, at other times taking longer to review and ensure I really understood what we were working on. She is kind and supportive, perfect for a beginner but in all honesty she would be great for any level.

Nattanawutt L. Expatrié Jongny, d’origine thailandaise

Ronny is a fantastic teacher. She carefully builds lessons to match your progress and your ambitions, tailoring the content to make it relevant to your everyday life. This helps to build your confidence. Most importantly, she makes learning French fun. She is rigorous and stretches you, and that’s why she is so good, and she also makes sure there is lots of laughter, which is why I can’t recommend her more highly.

Lucy E. Expatriée, Blonay, d’origine anglaise

Marine R. Stagiaire Avocate, Fribourg, d’origine suisse

I am very grateful for having opportunity to learn French with Ronny, during the time we lived in Switzerland. Ronny truly put a tremendous amount of effort into each lesson, making them both enjoyable and highly interesting. The lessons were a perfect blend of grammar, reading, and conversation, all presented in a relaxed and interactive manner. We would often discuss current matters, various articles, and easy reads, always tailored to my interests and even my mood on any given day. Ronny was always respectful of the natural flow of the lesson and would amend it to suit my needs. Of course, there was homework involved, which I must admit was not my favorite part. However, I fully acknowledge and respect that it is a crucial and necessary component of continuous learning. It played an essential role in reinforcing what we covered during our lessons. I am deeply grateful to Ronny for her dedication and support. Once I return to Switzerland, I am eager to continue my French learning journey with her.

Mirela T., Head of Finance & Control, Nestlé Hong Kong, d’origine Croate

When I moved to Switzerland, I knew learning French was key to connecting with the local community. Ronny’s personalized and practical approach made all the difference. Her focus on real-life conversations helped me quickly gain confidence and build meaningful connections. Thanks to her engaging teaching style, I was speaking French comfortably within a few months. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn the language.
